One of the questions we frequently get is, why space? We chose a space theme not just because it sounds cool (though it definitely does)—but because space symbolizes infinite potential. The precision required in orbital mechanics mirrors the precision we demand from our blades. The beauty and danger of the cosmos? That’s what we aim to capture in steel, micarta, G10, titanium, and many other materials.
At Orbital Knives, we’re building a legacy inspired by the stars. Each design represents a celestial body, but also a philosophy: exploration, innovation, and strength.
The Callisto
Named after Jupiter’s second largest moon
The Callisto is a rugged yet refined folder built for reliability in any terrain. Inspired by one of the most heavily cratered bodies in our solar system, this knife is made to endure. With a bold profile and rock-solid lockup, the Callisto reflects the moon it’s named after: ancient, enduring, and quietly powerful. If you're in the shop, on the trail, or around the fire, the Callisto is your steady companion.
The Halo
Named after the faint cloud of stars and dark matter that surrounds galaxies
The Halo model is something special in our lineup, not just for its name, but for how it’s made. This is our only USA made knife (as of this article), built completely by hand by a Forged in Fire champion. It’s got a unique style and a solid feel, and it shows off what happens when craftsmanship meets purpose. The design is simple and functional, but the story behind it makes it a very meaningful piece to us.

The Fornax
The Fornax is our take on a futuristic folder with sharp angles, a sleek profile, and a bold design that stands out without being over the top. It’s built with a titanium handle and detailed with gold accents, giving it that perfect balance between dressy and durable. It’s lightweight, solid in hand, and just as functional as it is eye-catching. The Fornax is a piece that looks like it came from the future, but it works like it was built for today.
