Listening to the Knife Community

Listening to the Knife Community

From the very beginning we knew that if we were going to grow this company the right way, we had to do two things and do them exceptionally well. First, create knives that perform. Second, listen closely to the people who carry them.

That mindset has guided every decision we’ve made. When we released our first knife, it wasn’t just about bringing a design to market... it was about starting a conversation. And what we found was that the knife community is full of thoughtful, experienced, and passionate voices. You told us what you liked. You told us what you'd change. You told us what you were still looking for. And we listened.

That brings us to what’s next: "The Large Callisto."

We're not just scaling up a previous design, we're building something new, shaped entirely by feedback from real users. This knife is still in the prototyping phase, but we want to be transparent about what we’re aiming to deliver, because your input helped define it.

What to Expect From the Large Callisto:

  • A 3.5" Blade
One of the most consistent requests we’ve received was for a larger blade with more cutting real estate. The large Callisto will feature a full 3.5 inch blade, still manageable in pocket, but with the added utility and presence you’ve been asking for.
  • 20CV Steel (Planned)
Our current plan is to use 20CV steel, a top tier material known for its excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. It’s a premium choice for those who need a blade that holds up over time and doesn’t quit halfway through the job.
  • Contoured Scales
Comfort is key, especially for those who carry daily or use their knives for extended periods. The large Callisto will feature fully contoured handle scales, designed to fit naturally in the hand and reduce fatigue during use.
  • Jimping
Control matters, and small details like jimping can make a big difference. We're incorporating jimping exactly where it provides the most benefit enhancing grip without getting in the way or feeling aggressive.
  • Nested Liners
We’re aiming for strength without unnecessary bulk. Nested liners will help us achieve a slim profile while maintaining structural integrity. It’s the kind of detail that improves the feel and balance of the knife without adding extra weight.

Prototypes are on the way, and we’ll be sharing updates as we move closer to production. If you’ve been following our journey, we hope you’ll see your voice reflected in the details. And if you’re just now discovering us, we invite you to follow along! We’re building this with the community.

We can’t wait to put the Large Callisto in your hands.
